I haven't posted in a good month, I don't have anything specific to post about so I will just give you a little update.
I currently am a straight A student! Yes, I do have an A in history. History is the subject I have had the biggest troubles in since I ever started a history class. Why? I have the worst memory, all history is (that I have gotten from) is something you have to memorize. There are no equations you can put together to find out where and when battles or wars happened, or who led them. And I don't mean to be harsh, but history as a whole isn't very interesting to me. There have only been a few bits and pieces here and there that I actually find enjoyable to listen to or learn about.
Since it is also September, it is marching season! Marching band is one of the things I look forward to the most when school comes around. This Saturday we have a band competition, where we might also have the opportunity to participate in finals! But, since it is this Saturday all the band students will not be able to attend Homecoming. So, to make up for the absence of homecoming our band director is trying to put together a special Band Homecoming. It's sounds cheesy, but I think it will be more fun than actual Homecoming. I haven't gone to Homecoming yet, and I probably shouldn't be making that conclusion that it will be better. It is an opinion of mine; all of my friends are band members/guard or were former band kids. I would rather dance and go crazy with all of them then going to actual Homecoming where the majority of the people I don't know. Sure, the music may not be as great or it might not be as formally dressed as Homecoming, but the point is to have fun and make the night worth it and one to remember.
Also, along the lines of band in about two and a half weeks I will be auditioning for District Band again! I made second chair concert band last year, my goal this year is to make the Honor Band. If I can achieve this goal my next will be to make All-State Band in December.
Also as an update I will post some pictures since the beginning of the school year!
